 Fallen Band MateJohnny Stewart,
the extraordinary saxophone player for Four On The Floor, passed away
Friday February 1, 2008. We will all miss Johnny not only for his
great playing, but because he was an extremely kind and dignified man
and he was our dear friend.
Johnny had charisma that few people
possess. He was comfortable around all people but seemed to be
magnetically drawn to people who needed him. Many times he would find
a child in a wheelchair or an elderly person in poor health and play
directly to them. He had a way of knowing who needed to hear his horn
the most and his pay was the smile on their faces. As any of you
who ever saw and heard Johnny play will know, he was a giant of a man.
His size never intimidated anyone; instead it made him seem more
lovable. As soon as he started to play his horn, everyone in the room
knew this man had a special gift from God. Johnny loved to share his
gift. The Four On The Floor Band will not try to replace Johnny. This would not be possible. May his spirit guide and inspire us. Here’s
to you our brother Johnny. It’s been our pleasure and privilege to
play with you these last nine years. Man, you blew a mean horn. We
love you and we miss you. Check our Picture Gallery for more Pictures
